

Baker is a physician who is dedicated to patient centered care. Tennant’s areas of interest include diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, complex retinal detachments, retinopathy of prematurity, uveitis and telemedicine. He completed his vitreoretinal fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia in 2003 and then joined Alberta Retina Consultants. Tennant completed medical school at UBC, followed by residency in ophthalmology at the University of Alberta.

This will provide standardization of fellowship training for all retina specialists who train in Canada.ĭr. Tennant has worked with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada to develop a retina specific area of focused competency, this was approved as of May 2019. Tennant was a representative forum delegate for the Edmonton Zone for the Alberta Medical Association for 6 years. He is the past president of the Retina Society of Alberta, and past vice-president of the Canadian Retina Society. He has served as residency training director for the department. In his free time he enjoys golf and wasting time on computers, but his greatest love is spending time with his family. He is actively involved in training physicians, – from medical students and Residents to Retina Fellows. He has a comprehensive Retina Practice including surgical and medical management of all disease of the retina and vitreous across all ages of patient. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials, peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Hinz has been in Edmonton with Alberta Retina Consultants and an Associate Clinical Professor in the University of Alberta ophthalmology program. He then spent 2 years in Baltimore, Maryland, at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute in a medical and surgical vitreoretinal fellowship.īrad returned to Edmonton in 1998 and in conjunction with his good friend Mark Greve, already in solo retina practice, started Alberta Retina Consultants.ĭr. He then graduated from medical school in 1992 and completed ophthalmology residency in 1996, both at the University of Alberta. Brad was married and moved to Edmonton in 1988 to attend medical school at the University of Alberta. Brad Hinzīrad grew up in Saskatoon and completed a BSc with Honours in Biochemistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 1988. Greve’s other accomplishments include Licentiate Medical Council of Canada, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Diplomate for the American Board of Ophthalmology, and Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta. Greve spent the next two years, till 1994, completing his Medical/Surgical Retina Fellowship at Louisiana State University.
